The Budget Law for 2021 defined the abolition of the Italian “Esterometro”) – the document that Italian companies had to send to the institutions with the list of active and passive invoices interchanged with foreign partners.

Formerly set for January, 1st 2022, this appointment has been postponed to July, 1st 2022 and it will take some important changes in commercial procedures with foreign partners. The involved invoices now have to be sent to the Ministry of Finance through the SDI (the formal national Interchange System), using the XML format for electronic invoicing.
