We want to congratulate with the first winners of Italian Receipt Lottery, promoted by Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM – Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency) to encourage the use of electronic payment systems among the consumers.
According to the Sole 24ore article, then posted on the “lotteriadegliscontrini.gov.it” portal, citizens did more than 17 million transactions with electronic payments systems, generating more than 542 million of virtual tickets for the first prize-drawing.
These numbers could impress you, but they are certainly expected to grow.
As a matter of fact ADM informs us that the path to the cashpoints complete upgrade is far away from being achieved. Considering all the registered cash registers in Italy, only 15,9% of them are enabled for the management of the codes for Receipt Lottery: WinStore and all the cash registers that use our software are ready!
With the new release, published at the end of December, since the 1st of February we gave the opportunity to our customers and to their customers to participate to the first drawing. That’s the reason why we are a little bit happier for the winners and we hope that at least one of these winning tickets has been generated by WinStore!
